A lot of discussion was done before season 4 kicked off regarding the future of the league. It was decided among members that S4 would expand to 20 the final league table would decide the relegation/promotion for S5. The bottom 10 would go into a 2nd tier for the 5th season.

During the off season an association known as "The Firm" formed consisting of Riaru, 223 and Schontassetae, and their first move was to become VIP members, which caused more ruptures within the league. It wasn’t the first or last argument of the campaign!
Football wise, 223 shot out of the traps and led all the way to week 12 where reigning champions FC Riaru Aankou took over, albeit just for one week. This was the last time 223 lost the top spot and from there on really dominated the league, crowned champions on the 2nd to last round... although in all honesty it had been wrapped up a long time before that. Nobody had an answer for the superb Dezzoti or the unstoppable goal machine that is Sebastián Cirigliani. 2nd spot was finally taken by FC Riaru Aankou but they had a much tougher time hanging onto that it than 223 had winning the title. Fish sticks, Ballymac and Schöntassetae all occupying 2nd spot at one stage or another. Fish Sticks have a trip to Asia to blame for their demise and have argued they would have won the league had they not travelled.
At the other end the relegation battle was a much more exciting competition. Glavin Rovers, Robbies Dukes, The athletics club and numero uno all got the sack, which made it a bit easier to pick up points for the big experienced sides but meant that less people than expected would compete for the following season leagues. The admin was finally allowed to change hands(Broderick getting the nod) with 2 game weeks to go and a democratic decision was made to split the league 8-10. This put a lot of pressure on the teams in 6th to 8th and a superb battle took place on the final day to secure
Zihuatanejo, Chapelizods and The Jacks top flight action in S5 but saw AC Muppets drop down to tier 2.
